Wood Gutmann & Bogart Insurance Brokers is proud to announce that Lisa Doherty, Executive Vice President and Executive Director of our Private Client Services division has been nominated by the Orange County Business Journal as one of the Top Businesswomen in Orange County. The 2019 Women in Business Awards program allows for the recognition of five exceptional businesswomen in Orange County. Five awards will be presented at the 2019 Women in Business Awards Luncheon & Program on May 8, 2019 at the Hotel Irvine.

Lisa's role at WGB began over 20 years ago, when she and Lupe Erwin founded the Private Client practice – a national thought leader in insurance solutions and risk management for successful individuals and families. The Private Client Services division now boasts nearly 2,500 customers, 7,000 policies managed, and represents roughly 20% of Wood Gutmann & Bogart's total agency P&C revenue. Lisa is responsible for recruiting , hiring and training staff.  She currently oversees thirteen direct reports who share in the growth-minded culture of the company as a whole. She also manages carrier and vendor relationships, as well as overseeing sales and operations for the entire Private Client division.

Lisa has earned the Certified Advisor of Personal Insurance (CAPI) professional designation, which qualifies her to advise highly successful clients with complex risk management needs.  The CAPI program was created by the Aresty Institute of Executive Education at The Wharton School of Business, in conjunction with Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.  Lisa was only one of 40 brokers selected for the inaugural class.  She continues to participate in alumni education and events associated with this designation.

Under Lisa's direction, The Private Client Services division has earned a Chubb Cornerstone Agency designation consistently since 2008.  Only 3% of Chubb’s agents qualify for this designation every year. The Private Client Services Department is also a Paragon Agency with PURE Insurance.  Wood Gutmann & Bogart was the first agency in Orange County to receive such a designation within an elite group of top performers.  Lisa continues to be in the Top 10% of brokers in Southern California Region and one of the top performing brokers in the state since PURE launched in CA in 2014.

Lisa's industry and community involvement includes:

• Serving on the Chubb Agency Counsel in 2017 and 2018, where she provided insight and impressions on yet-to-be-released client and agent facing products, services and digital experiences.
• Being an active participant in Regional Agent Council Groups with AIG Private Client Group, where she provides feedback and guidance in regards to products, innovation and client service standards.
• Volunteering  with Girls Incorporated of Orange County.  She Chaired the “Women for Girls” Chapter.
• Being a Member of Vistage Executive Network from 2012 to 2017.
